Self Employed (2014 – Present)

Using a collaborative approach, keyword research and SEO techniques, I work with clients to develop an even greater understanding of their target market, perfect their online voice, and create more authentic connections with their audience resulting in leads and conversions.

Key Achievements:

  • Developed 6-week online copywriting course for business owners
  • Ran copywriting workshops for businesses at Small Business BC

Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV), Vancouver (July 2017 – November 2018)

As Marketing and Communications Manager, I developed and implemented internal and external marketing strategies for FSGV, a non-profit social services agency with 80+ programs and 500 employees across 13 locations. After conducting a brand audit and identifying gaps in the way the FSGV brand was being represented, I spearheaded several initiatives to increase brand awareness and raise the public profile of the agency. This included a visual branding and logo redesign; new website; new key messages; full suite of modern, on-brand marketing materials; and media exposure.

Key achievements:

  • Hired/developed new staff and managed the Communications Department
  • Rebuilt FSGV’s 60+ page website which improved user experience and increased web traffic
  • Provided marketing and communications support for A Night in the Life fundraising event which raised $36K
  • Conducted social media audit and implemented a more focused strategy which doubled the number of followers in six months
  • Developed staff media training workshop to develop spokespeople who could confidently represent the FSGV brand in public
  • Launched the first digital annual report supported by an email marketing campaign resulting in an increase of donations
